Srinagar, Sep 22(KNS): National Conference Chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Monday said that the restoration of statehood remains a top priority for the people of the region.
“Everyone in Jammu and Kashmir has hopes that our statehood will be restored,” he said during a media interaction in Srinagar. He urged that the opportunity for statehood must be used effectively.
According to KNS, Abdullah said the aspiration for statehood extends beyond the National Conference and reflects the expectations of all communities across Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Turning to the challenges of governance, Abdullah said running the government in the current scenario is difficult but necessary. “To run the government now is like walking on the edge of a sword, but we have to continue governance,” he said, stressing that officials must continue their work despite obstacles.(KNS).
