Flights cancelled at Sri Airport due to heavy snowfall

 Srinagar, Jan 13 (KNS):  Fresh snowfall in Kashmir valley throughout the day led to the cancellation of flights at Srinagar airport on Monday.

 
An official at Srinagar airport told KNS that all flights were cancelled on Monday due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir valley. “No flight could land or take-off at Srinagar airport on Monday due to which hundreds of passengers couldn’t travel to their respective destinations,” he said.
 
Director MeT office Sonam Lotus told KNS that weather conditions   will improve from tomorrow.
 
Meanwhile, reports of moderate to heavy snowfall were received from across the Kashmir on Monday. The snowfall started during the night and was intermittently going on. A MeT official told KNS that weather is expected to improve from Tuesday.
 
Meanwhile, Srinagar-Jammu National Highway also remained closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall (KNS).
