Fire guts two houses in Tangdar

Tangdhar, Nov 6 (KNS): A massive fire tore through Tangdhar on Thursday evening, destroying two residential houses and leaving seven families without shelter.

According to reports received by Kashmir News Service (KNS), the houses belonged to Khursheed Sheikh, son of Late Mehta Sheikh, and Yaseen Kadla. Both structures were completely gutted before the flames were brought under control.

Witnesses said the fire erupted suddenly and spread rapidly, reducing the houses to ashes within minutes. Five families were living in Sheikh’s house, while two families resided in Kadla’s.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAll households lost their possessions in the blaze.

There were no casualties or injuries. The Indian Army, Fire and Emergency Services, and Civil Administration responded swiftly, containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.

Authorities said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials have assured immediate relief and rehabilitation assistance for the affected families.(KNS)
