Srinagar, May 15 (KNS): National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah Wednesday visited many areas of Tangmarg Constituency during which he interacted with people and listened to their problems.

The former IAS officers visited Ogmuna, Darakashi, Hoom, Reshipora, Hardshoura and Adipora where he met with the inhabitants of these areas. During the interaction, the people complained of erratic power cuts during the ongoing holy month of Ramzan besides problems in portable water supply.

Shah assured them that he will take up the matter with the concerned authorities.

The former bureaucrat also expressed concern on the damages caused to crops and fruits by Tuesday’s hailstorm in the area and expressed sympathy with those who have affected by the natural calamity.

Shah urged administration to send teams to the area in-order to assess the damages and appealed that the affected farmers be provided compensation. He later visited Kampora also to express solidarity with the fire victim families. (KNS)
