Srinagar, Sep 5 (KNS): National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday visited the residence of Beerwah MLA Dr Shafi Ahmad Wani to condole the death of his sister.

The deceased passed away two days ago.

Abdullah expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and offered Fateha Khawani for the departed soul. He prayed for her eternal peace and for strength and patience for the family to bear the loss.

Senior National Conference leaders and functionaries, including former minister Peer Muhammad Hussain Suharwardy, former minister and Pulwama district president Mohammad Khalil Bhand, former MLA and constituency in-charge Shopian Sheikh Mohammad Rafi, Advocate Peer Hashim Hussain, constituency in-charge Anantnag, and religious and party leader Abdul Majeed Matoo were also present.(KNS)
