Farooq Abdullah Calls New Rail Link a “Train of Progress and Prosperity” for Kashmir


Srinagar, June 11 (KNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has hailed the newly inaugurated train connectivity as a “train of progress and prosperity” for the region, calling it a transformative step toward development and integration.

“This is a great blessing that it has started. Tourists are arriving, our business will grow, and our fruits will reach other markets,” Abdullah said, expressing optimism about the impact on local commerce and connectivity.

He expressed hope that the development would give a major boost to tourism, enhance livelihoods, and open up new economic avenues in the Valley.

Reflecting on his hopes for the region, Abdullah added, “I prayed for brotherhood, love, progress, and most importantly, peace. We must remember the One who has given us everything.” (KNS)
