Srinagar, Oct 6 (KNS): The Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Sunday organized a farewell ceremony to honour H. Rajesh Prasad, Principal Secretary, Power Department, on his appointment as Chief Secretary of Chandigarh Union Territory.

Speaking at the function, the Managing Director and senior officers praised Rajesh Prasad’s visionary leadership and his transformative contributions to Jammu and Kashmir’s power sector. They noted that under his dynamic guidance, the department achieved remarkable progress in operational efficiency, financial management, and service delivery.
His tenure saw historic improvements in billing and collection efficiency, a significant reduction in AT&C losses, and major infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of smart meters, strengthening of grid stations, and enhancement of power reliability across the Union Territory.
The farewell ceremony was a heartfelt tribute to Rajesh Prasad’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to reform. Officers and staff of JKPDD extended their best wishes for his continued success in his new role as Chief Secretary of Chandigarh UT.(KNS0
