Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNS): Karwan-e-Islami patron Alama Ghulam Rasool Hami today expresed his serious concern over the fast deteriorating situation in Kashmir especially in the wake of series of government orders and rumours stating that people of Kashmir have already bore the brunt of economic crisis in Kashmir over the past seven decades.

In a statement issued to KNS, Alama Hami said that because of the prevailing situation in Kashmir, people are feeling suffocated and mental tension has increased across the valley. He said that every citizen living in Kashmir is suffering from mental tension.

He urged India and Pakistan to shun the confrontational approach to start the negotiations for resolving the issues including Kashmir.

Alama Hami said people of Kashmir are ready to protect their identity and the special rights like article 35 A and 370.

He said by the fearful atmosphere in Kashmir, academic and tourism season has bore the brunt and economy of Kashmir is being further chocked and that it’s high time that political parties unite and take steps to protect the state laws.

He urged people to pray to almighty for their safety and security.

In this connection, the supreme council of Karwan-e -Islami has decided that very soon all religious, social and political parties will be invited for thorough deliberations. (KNS)
