Uri, Jun 23 (KNS): An encroachment eviction drive under supervision of Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri Baseer-ul-haq Choudhary, IAS, was today held on Mohura to upper Mohura road.
Tehsildar Boniyar Mubashir Amin, KAS, Girdawar Uri Nazar-ud-din, Girdawar Boniyar and officers of PMGSY were also present during drive.
The road of three kilometers distance from Mohura to upper Mohura was notified in the year 2012, but due to reluctance of some locals the work on said road was stopped and the area remained without road connectivity since then.
Meanwhile some other locals had encroached upon the already notified land and had laid foundation of few structures as well.
As per KNS correspondent, Nadeem Khawaja, all the issues related to said road were resolved amicably and accordingly encroachment was removed from the road. SDM Uri during visit assured the locals of early redressal of the issues raised and said the eviction drive will continue in future. (KNS)
