EJAC holds meeting in Kupwara, discuss withheld cases of GP fund

Srinagar, Jul 19 (KNS): An important meeting of EJAC was held at Kupwara under the presidentship Mir Fayaz.

All office bearers attended the meeting. Among other issues, the most notable was the withheld cases of GP fund in treasures for past four to five months. Government Treasures are unable to release sanctioned G P fund cases which is adversely effecting the employees and as such is a grave injustices with them.

EJAC president Mir Fayaz said that an employee resorts to withdrawal of GP fund in high emergency cases of marriage of his son/daughter, house construction or treatment of some illness. This money is his own and its blockage in treasuries is both a matter of concern and inefficiency.

The meeting appealed Governor, concerned advisor and the financial commissioner to work out a permanent and immediate solution for the same else it could snowball into a huge crisis.

The meeting also expressed solidarity with the Anganwari supervisors, workers and helpers demand the revocation of the order of issuing attendances by Sarpanchs and Panchs because in the ultimate analysis it would only open more avenues of corruption and subvert government system.

The meeting also appreciated the visit of the DDC Kupwara to Bangus and hoped that prompted meaningful development would take place in the lovely vast tourist area. (KNS)
