Dy Mayor visits Srinagar to remove traffic police booths

Srinagar, Dec 14 (KNS): Deputy Mayor along with senior officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Corporators visited various areas of the city with the aim to remove traffic police booths installed at various places across the city.
An extensive anti-encroachment drive with the help of enforcement squad was conducted to remove the traffic police booths erected on footpaths at Rajbagh, M.A Road and Batamaloo.
While getting these booths removed Deputy Mayor said that the footpaths are full of encroachments and our public is seen walking on these footpaths with risk and it also causes lot of inconvenience to them.
“I want to send a clear message to all the departments and traders that any encroachment on footpaths will be dealt under law as we are here to secure the living style of our people further,” said Shiekh Imran.
Meanwhile Deputy Mayor also attended the nineteen month old pellet victim Hiba Nisar who had undergone a surgery at SMHS hospital
Imran also interacted with her parents who did not want any compensation or financial aid except for the best possible treatment for their nineteen month old child.
He further requested doctors to do best possible treatment to the child and has assured all the required assistance from his end. (KNS)
