Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah expresses grief over demise of party veteran

 

Srinagar, 31 Mar (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party president Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed grief over the demise of party veteran and halqa president Rawalpora Ghulam Nabi Dar.

The duo prayed for peace to the soul of deceased and strength to the mournful family to bear the loss and said late Ghulam Nabi Dar shall be remembered for his dedication for the party and affinity with the cherished values of Sher e Kashmir.

Party’s provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, provincial Secretary Showkat Mir, District President Peer Afaq, provincial president (women’s wing) Er Sabiya Qadri, Block President Amira Kadal Rafiq Illahi and other members of the provincial committee have also expressed sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Nabi Dar. The functionaries prayed for peace to departed soul, the statement issued to KNS said.

Meanwhile Dr Farooq Abdullah has also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of mother of district and sessions judge Qausar A Qureshi.

While extending condolences to Qausar A Qureshi, he prayed for peace to the soul of deceased and strength to the family to bear the inconsolable loss. It is pertinent to mention here that party president made a phone call to Qausar A Qureshi to express his unison with him in his hour of grief.

MP Baramulla Mohammad Akbar Lone, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leader Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzaan, district president Javed Dar have also expressed condolences with the bereaved family.(KNS)
