Srinagar, Sept 27 (KNS) : Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg saturday convened a meeting of officers to review flood mitigation plan and river management.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner SMC, Fazlul Haseeb; VC LCMA, Chief Engineer I&FC besides other officers of ERA, JTFRP, SDA, UEED & other concerned departments.

The meeting held threadbare discussion on the diversion channel from Jhelum near Sangam to Wular Lake, raising flood walls at selected locations in Srinagar, re-sectioning of Flood Spill Channel, choked portion of Jhelum in Srinagar, Sediment Control basin(s) on identified Jhelum tributaries, Flood zoning and land use regulations besides erosion and sediment control measures on land.(KNS)
