Bandipora, Aug 13 (KNS) : In a significant move aimed at ensuring patient privacy, security, and the smooth functioning of healthcare services, the administration of District Hospital Bandipora has issued a formal order restricting the entry of unauthorised persons and prohibiting photography or videography within the hospital premises.
According to the order issued by the Medical Superintendent, the in-charge of the hospital’s police unit has been directed to strictly prevent voluntary workers and any unauthorised individuals from entering any section or unit of the hospital with immediate effect. The restriction applies to all wards, Outpatient Departments (OPDs), laboratories, administrative sections, and other units.
The order further states that photography and videography, whether for personal or other purposes, are not permitted anywhere within the hospital without explicit approval from the competent authority. This includes all medical and non-medical sections of the facility.
“All sections and units of the hospital are instructed to fully cooperate with the police unit to ensure strict enforcement of these directives.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe measure is being implemented in the larger interest of patient privacy, safety, and uninterrupted medical services,” the Medical Superintendent said.
The hospital administration has warned that any violation of the order will be treated seriously and dealt with under the relevant legal provisions. Officials emphasised that the move is necessary to curb unnecessary crowding, prevent disruptions to medical care, and protect the dignity and confidentiality of patients undergoing treatment.
Copies of the directive have been sent to the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Director Health Services Kashmir, Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, and the in-charge police unit at the hospital to ensure coordinated enforcement.
The decision comes amid increasing concerns over the presence of unauthorised persons in sensitive hospital areas and the circulation of photographs or videos from within healthcare facilities, which can compromise both patient confidentiality and operational efficiency.(KNS)
