Anantnag, August 12 (KNS): The District Anantnag Thang-Ta Championship 2025 concluded today amid great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, marking another significant step in promoting the traditional martial art form in the region.
Organised by the District Anantnag Thang-Ta Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, the two-day event, held from 11th to 12th August, witnessed participation from over 300 players representing different parts of the district.
The closing ceremony was graced by DYSSO Anantnag, Raja Yaqoob, as the Chief Guest, and Incharge Sports Council Anantnag, Bashir , as the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries praised the association’s efforts in nurturing young talent and preserving the indigenous sport of Thang-Ta at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated the players for their achievements and encouraged them to aim for excellence at the state and national levels.
