Jammu, June 5 (KNS): Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday announced that the direct Vande Bharat train service between Jammu and Srinagar will commence in September, after the ongoing work at Jammu railway station is completed.
During his visit to the station, the Minister reviewed development works and shared updates on the upcoming service. According to KNS, Vaishnaw said the work is progressing well and is expected to be completed by September.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Once platforms 5 and 6 are ready, Vande Bharat trains will run directly between Jammu and Srinagar,” he said.
His visit comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled flagging off of Vande Bharat trains from Katra on Friday. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the iconic Chenab and Anji bridges, and launch or lay foundation stones for development projects worth ?46,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS
