Death anniversary of social activist Ghulam Mohammad Mir observed in Baramulla

Baramulla, Nov 9 (KNS): The third death anniversary of noted social activist and former Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) Late Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Rohama Rafiabad was observed today at his residence in Kanth Bagh, Baramulla.

Late Ghulam Mohammad Mir, who passed away on November 9, 2022, was the elder brother of former minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir, father of Nazir Ahmad Mir and Hilal Ahmad Mir, and uncle of Yawar Mir.

People from all walks of life, including religious figures, political leaders, and social activists, gathered to pay rich tributes to the late Mir, recalling his lifelong commitment to public welfare and education.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Speakers described him as a compassionate individual who always stood by the poor and needy. “Late Ghulam Mohammad Mir served society with honesty and dedication. His contribution to the education sector and his role in strengthening social harmony will always be remembered,” locals said.

They added that his demise left a void in Rafiabad’s social fabric that remains difficult to fill. The gathering concluded with prayers for the departed soul, seeking the highest place for him in Jannat.(KNS).
