Srinagar, July 10 (KNS): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), in collaboration with SCERT-JK, has launched a three-day Induction Training Programme for newly promoted headmasters from Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, and Pulwama districts. The training is being held at the SCERT-JK campus.
The programme aims to help school leaders develop strong leadership and planning skills, in line with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It is organized under the guidance of the School Leadership Academy (SLA) of SCERT-JK’s Kashmir Division.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo, inaugurated the event and also released a special training module titled "Developing Institutional Plan." Dr. Itoo urged the new school heads to lead with integrity, inclusivity, and innovation, while creating student-friendly environments and using data to make informed decisions.
Syed Shabir Ahmad, Joint Director SCERT-JK, highlighted that the training will soon be expanded to all ten districts of Kashmir. He appreciated the efforts of the coordinators for designing a leadership-focused training module that supports school improvement.
This training marks an important step towards strengthening school leadership at the grassroots level and reflects DSEK’s commitment to improving the quality of education and school management in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
