DPS Students Shine at VBYC Jammu, Felicitated by LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu, August 4 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, Nagbani, and Katra for their outstanding participation in the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYC), organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

Under the leadership of Kunwarani Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Jammu, Nagbani, and Katra, around 150 students took part enthusiastically in the four-day programme held from July 31 to August 3 at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The initiative aimed to engage youth in civic responsibility, leadership, and cultural awareness as part of the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.

Students participated in various academic, cultural, and sports activities focusing on life skills, heritage, and nation-building. Key highlights included motivational sessions, a heritage walk at Mubarak Mandi, and an eco-awareness visit to the JU Botanical Garden.

DPS Jammu students earned top honors by securing First Position in the Viksit Bharat Quiz Competition. The winning team—Vaidik Taggar, Manaswin Mahajan, Manya Targotra, and Samanyu Sharma of Classes XI and XII—was felicitated by LG Manoj Sinha.

The school management, including President-RCT M.K. Ajatshatru Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson Ritu Singh, Director/PVC S.S. Sodhi, along with principals and academic heads from the three schools, congratulated all winners, participants, and their parents for their dedication and success.(KNS)
