Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS): Reiterating its stance to resolve the Kashmir dispute, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that it is the only way out to stop the ongoing bloodshed in the disputed region.
Freedom Party Secretary General, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari urged upon India and the international community to take concrete steps for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
While expressing his deepest grief and sorrow over the passing away of a young girl, Saima Wani of Shopian district who was injured in Indian force’s firing, Moulana Tari said that heavy militarization is taking toll on innocent Kashmiris. He said that recent civilian killings in Shopian district has shaken the conscience of every justice loving person however Indian judiciary has come in rescue of its forces by staying the FIR against them who are already enjoying laws of impunity. Moulana Tari said that Indian judiciary has already failed in delivering justice to JKDFP incarcerated chief, Shabir Ahmad Shah, languishing in Tihar jail on a fabricated case.
Expressing deep concern over the border skirmishes between India and Pakistan and human losses from both sides of LoC and international border, Moulana Tari said, “The uncertainty and the confrontation between India and Pakistan so far has consumed numerous precious lives and destruction of worth millions of properties.” He said that if tangible steps are not taken on priority bases to resolve Kashmir dispute, there can be more destruction in South Asian region.
Meanwhile Moulana Tari paid rich and glowing tributes to those martyred in recent gunfights with Indian forces. He said that brave hearts are sacrificing their lives in the way to achieve freedom so it is our collective responsibility to safeguard their great sacrifices. (KNS)
