‘Aggression can never resolve issues’

Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has reiterated that unless the Kashmir issue was resolved in line with the aspirations of Kashmiris, there can neither be peace nor stability in the south Asian region.
Issuing a statement to KNS, the party said that aggression and repression can never resolve issues but only aggravate them.
“As long as there is repression and force as the state response, you may kill one mujahid, but 10 more will stand up. Killing mujahideen is no solution as is evident from the huge attendance at their funerals,” DFP said.
Paying tributes to the mujahideen martyred in Handwara, Kulgam and other areas of the disputed region the party statement said that “our brave hearts are scripting a tremendous chapter of our resistance movement.”
The statement said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are waiting for a final resolution of their political problem which alone will end their suffering.
“A resolution of the issue is possible provided there is willingness to accept facts with compassion, humanity and mutual respect. This has been the politics of our incarcerated leader Shabir Ahmad Shah throughout his life who has been made a victim of his political stance,” DFP said.
Meanwhile, Freedom Party has expressed deep sorrow on the sad demise of Haji Ali Mohammad Basu of SK Colony Islamabad. Deceased was a close relative of incarcerated party chief Shabir Ahmad Shah. A party delegation led by its Secretary General Moulana Tari today visited Islamabad to condole the family. On the occasion Moulana Tari prayed for the eternal soul of the deceased. (KNS)
