DFP grieved over passing away of mother of jailed Bitta Karatey

Srinagar, Dec 12 (KNS): Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of incarcerated JKLF leader Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that it is tragic that mothers of Kashmir are compelled to die in absence of their sons.
Bitta Karatey’s mother passed away after a brief illness and she alas could not see her son before leaving for heavenly abode. Bitta Karatey along with other pro-freedom leaders including JKDFP chairman, Shabir Shah are incarcerated in Delhi’s Tihar since July 2017.
The JKDFP Spokesperson said in a statement that Shabir Shah too has lost many of his close relatives while he was lodged in different jails. It is unfortunate that today Bitta Karatey lost his mother while being in jail.
The Spokesperson said that a high level party delegation lead by Engineer Farooq Khan today met the bereaved to expressed solidarity with them.
The party while praying for the deceased soul demanded immediate and unconditional release of Bitta Karatey so that he can remain with his nears and dears at this time of grief. (KNS)
