DC Srinagar inspects progress of ongoing works on S R Gunj Primary Health Centre

SRINAGAR JULY 09 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today conducted a comprehensive onsite inspection of the ongoing construction works on Urban Primary Health Centre(UPHC) S R Gunj (Maharaj Gunj) in Shahr-e-Khaas area of the City.

During the comprehensive site visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed each construction component, assessed the current progress of the health facility being constructed. He also took stock of the pace and quality of the work.

While reviewing the progress, the DC was apprised that over 50 percent of the works including brickwork, internal plastering door & window framework, tile work stands almost completed with the remaining works being carried out at a fast pace.

On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned executing agency to ensure accelerating the pace of works on each component of the prestigious project so that local population is benefitted.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The DC underlined the importance of inter-departmental coordination to resolve issues, if any, in the project to eliminate delays ensuring timely completion of the health facility.

The DC stressed the importance of robust inter-departmental coordination to promptly address any issue, to avoid delay, so that the health facility is made operational at the earliest. He maintained that the health facility will strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the Shar-e-Khaas area of the City and provide quality healthcare facilities to the residents.

During the visit the DC was accompanied by the Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tahir Sajad, Executive Engineer R&B, Ashiq Hussain, Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildar Khanyar, Syed Shahid, Zonal Medical Officer, S R Gunj, Dr Shafqat and other cconcerned.KNS)
