DC Baramulla Chairs Meeting on Revenue Related Matters

Baramulla, Aug 21 KNS) : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Thursday chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review key revenue-related matters including land acquisition, completion of digitization of land records, redressal of public grievances, market regulation, and measures against illegal mining.

The DC stressed on the early completion of digitization of land records to ensure accuracy, transparency, and easy accessibility of services to the public. He said that completion of this exercise will help in minimizing disputes, streamlining revenue services, and enhancing efficiency in grievance redressal.

On land acquisition, the DC directed officers to speed up the process for ongoing developmental projects and ensure fair compensation to affected families without delays.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The DC also asked revenue officers, in their capacity as Executive Magistrates, to conduct frequent market checking drives, with special focus on food items, to prevent profiteering, overpricing, and adulteration.

With regard to illegal mining, the DC directed for intensified inspections and stern action against violators to safeguard natural resources and public interest.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment, the DC said that completion of digitization of land records, timely disposal of grievances, strict enforcement on markets and mining, and transparent land management remain top priorities for ensuring accountable and people-centric governance in the district.(KNS)
