Srinagar, Sept 27 (KNS): The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir on Saturday carried out searches at five locations in Srinagar and Budgam in connection with a land fraud case.
Officials said the case was registered after a complaint alleged that the complainant had been cheated on the pretext of land sale. The complainant was shown forged land documents, believed them to be genuine, and paid several lakhs of rupees.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, investigations later revealed that the land did not belong to the alleged sellers. The findings were confirmed during preliminary enquiry.
House searches are underway, and further investigation is going on, officials added.(KNS)
