Jammu, May 03 (KNS): Army on Sunday felicitated doctors and other health workers in Jammu Government Medical College and appreciated their role as Corona warriors.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), at a time when doctors and other health workers being misbehaved and criticized in wake of ongoing worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, Army felicitated their tireless role and lauded their efforts while fighting with deadly virus.
The event which was organized in Jammu Government Medical College, reverberated with drum beats for these Corona warriors.
A female doctor while speaking to media said, “She feels really great to be appreciated by the armed forces” and added, “It will be even great if general public also appreciate our work”, she added.
It is pertinent to mention that medical staff is appreciated all over the world for their tireless efforts during the ongoing pandemic. In India on March 22, whole country thanked the medical fraternity by ringing bells and clapping for 5 minutes on the appeal of PM Modi.
Although in many parts of the country health workers were beaten and abused when they were doing their duties professionally.
In South Kashmir's Anantnag district on April 12, a health worker was attacked. She had gone to collect samples of a suspected patient at his home where she was attacked by the family members. (KNS)
