Congress legislators to meet to discuss NC’s joint meeting invite

Srinagar, Oct 22 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hamid Karra has convened an emergency meeting of the party legislators this afternoon to deliberate on the National Conference’s invitation for a joint meeting of the ruling alliance lawmakers.

Karra will chair the meeting at 4:30 PM, where discussions are expected to revolve around the Rajya Sabha elections, recent political developments, and the party’s strategy for the upcoming Assembly session.

Speaking to KNS, Karra said, “We have called a meeting of all Congress legislators to review the recent developments related to the Rajya Sabha elections, by-polls, and Assembly proceedings.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe will also discuss our role in the forthcoming political events. The outcome of the meeting will be shared with the media later.”

He added that feedback from legislators would be conveyed to the party high command before taking any decision on the NC’s invitation.

Bandipora MLA and Congress Chief Whip in the Assembly, Nizamuddin Bhat, said the meeting would focus on the Rajya Sabha elections, by-elections, and the party’s approach for the Assembly session.

“The NC’s invitation will also be taken up during the discussions, and a response will be sought from the party leadership accordingly,” Bhat said.(KNS)
