Urges Governor to address concerns of ST people

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): Emphasizing the Government to look into the problems confronting ST people in the State, Congress Leader Kadfeen Chowdhary expressed serious concern over the lack of basic facilities to people living in far flung areas especially ST people.
He was interacting with a largely attended delegation from Kangan, Ganderbal and other areas, Kadfeen told the delegation that Congress Party feels duty bound to strengthen the every section of the J&K from grass roots level and has worked immensely in this direction.
He said Congress Party has served the people to the best of its ability and it will continue to remain steadfast to strengthen the people especially poor and down trodden, who have always been used and misled by other parties for electoral gains, but the time has changed, people have realized that it is the Congress party alone which can serve them and safeguard their interests, he said
On this occasion he referred to the recent incident of ST women, who delivered on road after forcing her to turn away by some Doctors in LD Hospital and expressed anguish over the indifferent attitude of on duty para medical staff towards the ST people, as a result, a women delivered a dead baby on road, which was not only unfortunate, but shameful on the part of the Doctor, he added.
Kadfeen urged upon the Governor Administration to look into the issues concerning people in far flung areas and provide establish maternity hospital for ST people in the their respective areas, so that, they would be able to get the timely and required treatment in these hospitals, he said. (KNS)
