Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNS): Expressing serious concern over the damages caused to orchards and agriculture land in the backdrop of incessant rains and hailstorm in South Kashmir and elsewhere in Kashmir Valley, Senior Congress Leader Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday today urged upon the State Govt to take stock of the losses for timely compensation to affected people.
In a statement issued to KNS, senior Congress leader while expressing serious concern over the damages caused in valley especially in south Kashmir strongly urged upon the Govt to ensure timely compensation to affected people, as that the people have suffered losses immensely.
Stating that several important roads connecting villages with district headquarters, besides the electric transformers in various villages were also damaged due to incessant causing great inconvenience to people, Khanday added and emphasized that affected transformers must be repaired by adding priority to the supply of electricity, besides the damaged roads leading district headquarters be restored inorder to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
