Volunteers help elderly persons, assist traffic police

Srinagar, Dec 01 (KNS): On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) a first-aid cum facilitation camp was set up by Civil Defence Srinagar at Hazratbal today.
According to an official statement, hundreds of pilgrims benefited from the camp.
The camp was attended by Director, Disaster Management & Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Aamir Ali, Coordinator, ASI (M) Shabir Ahmed Khan, Divisional Warden Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat and numerous volunteers, donning fluorescent jackets and maroon caps. The volunteers facilitated the elderly persons and assisted the traffic police in the management of the traffic.
The volunteers distributed sharbat amongst the pilgrims.
The facilitation camp was inspected by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, SSP Srinagar, SP Hazratbal, CMO Srinagar who appreciated the enthusiasm and voluntary spirit of the CD Volunteers. (KNS)
