PDP-BJP threat to integrity of the State: Rashid Dar Congress will defeat forces trying to divide state on Communal lines: G N Monga

Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee today observed communal harmony day at Handwara. Senior Leaders and office bearers of District Congress Committee participated in the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by MLA & Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Haji Ab. Rashid Dar, said a statement issued to KNS.
Prominent among those who addressed the meeting included MLC Vice President Gulam Nabi Monga, District President Kupwara, Haji Farooq Mir, Adv. Mod Yaseen and others.
Speaking on the occasion Haji Ab. Rashid Dar expressed concern over the growing intolerance in the Country and said that Secular India is being converted into Communal India by BJP and its mentor RSS, he said.
Expressing concern over the recent spurt of violent incidents like burning of trucks at Udhampur, he said it was a deliberate move to vitiate the atmosphere of amity and peace in the State. He accused PDP and BJP for failing to contain disgruntled and anti peace elements hell bent upon to tarnish the Secular image of J&K State.
Blaming PDP for praising RSS and BJP, he said it seems that Chief Minister and his Party PDP behaves like slave of RSS. Praising RSS by Chief Minister is very much surprising for the people and they feel that PDP is taking dictation from RSS. He said Coalition Govt led by PDP is a big threat to integrity of the State, for the fact, it (Coalition Govt) has miserably failed to ensure safety and Security of the State.
Addressing the gathering Gulam Nabi Monga stated that Jammu and Kashmir has always been multi cultured Secular State and will remain so, no power on earth can change the secular identity of the State, he said.
Monga warned all those forces and factors communalizing State of J&K aiming to create divisions for the sake of getting benefitted would be defeated, he hoped that such forces have been defeated by the people of J&K in past and would continue to taste defeat, he said.
Monga said Congress Party is committed to its stated position of maintaining integrity and communal harmony of the State and is capable of defeating forces harming amity and peace in the State, he said. (KNS)
