New Delhi, Dec 16 (KNS): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of inter-cadre deputation tenure of IPS officer Sarah Afzal Ahmed Rizvi for a further period of two years, an official order said on Monday.
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the ACC cleared the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend Rizvi’s deputation from the Gujarat cadre to the AGMUT cadre, specifically the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Rizvi, a 2008-batch Indian Police Service officer of the Gujarat cadre, will continue on inter-cadre deputation beyond October 20, 2025.
The extension has been granted on the grounds of personal hardship, the order said.
The decision was taken with reference to an Office Memorandum of the Ministry of Home Affairs dated October 7, 2025.(KNS)
