Mirwaiz welcomes the truce as a long-awaited relief for Palestinians, urging that true peace can only prevail when their rights, dignity, and homeland are restored
Srinagar Oct 09 (KNS): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), welcomed the news of the ceasefire in Gaza, describing it as a much-needed relief for the suffering Palestinian people after months of “slaughter, starvation, and genocide” committed by Israel.
Mirwaiz wrote that although the so-called “peace deal” remains unfair and one-sided, it is hoped that the ceasefire will hold and become a genuine step toward lasting peace and justice in the region.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He further stated that as hostages return home, Palestinians too deserve secure homes, dignity, and freedom from occupation. “True peace,” Mirwaiz said, “will only prevail when the rights of the Palestinian people are upheld and their homeland restored.”(KNS)
