New Delhi, June 15 (KNS) : In a significant administrative development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of 38 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers for appointment at the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) at the Centre.
The list features officers from various state cadres, with a majority belonging to the 1996 and 1997 batches. Notably, three officers from the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre—Mukesh Singh (1996), Viplav Kumar Choudhary (1997), and Vijay Kumar (1997)—have been cleared for central posting at the ADGP level.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The AGMUT cadre is also prominently represented, with Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, Sagar Preet Hooda, and Sharad Agarwal, all from the 1997 batch, finding a place on the list.
