COVID-19: Two more cases reports positive in Srinagar, toll 3: Govt


Srinagar, Mar 23 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday confirmed two more positive cases of COVID-19 having travel history of Saudi Arabia and New Delhi taking the total number of positive cases to three in Kashmir Valley.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), spokesperson of J&K Government Rohit Kansal tweeted, “#JammuAndKashmir 2 more cases reported positive in Srinagar. One has confirmed travel history outside India. Full details regarding the second being ascertained. @diprjk @HealthMedicalE1”.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary asked people to cooperate with the teams deputed on job, He tweeted, “Just to keep everyone informed that 300Mtr radius surrounding area has been isolated and teams are on job. This is a routine exercise and for daily health assessment. Pl cooperate with teams in field. #BreakTheChain #StayAtHomeSaveLives”.
Pertinently on March 17, a woman from Khanyar locality of Srinagar city had travel history of Saudi Arabia was tested positive for COVID-19 after which she was taken into quarantine centre and is presently undergoing treatment at SKIMS, Soura. (KNS)
