Srinagar, Jan 31 (KNS): Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday condemned the statement made by Deputy Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam wherein he had asked Muslims living in India to demands a separate state.
The Chief Minister further said that Jammu and Kashmir was “neither a party to the partition of our country nor did we support division on religious lines.”
She in her tweet said that “we as a state opted for the opposite but unfortunately are still paying the price.”
“J&K was neither a party to the partition of our country nor did we support division on religious lines. We as a state opted for the opposite but unfortunately are still paying the price. I strongly condemn any statement made asking for Muslims in India to demand a separate state,” she tweeted. (KNS)
