Srinagar, 03 Oct (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President Showkat Mir Saturday said elected government is working at every level to address public grievances and promote the welfare and well-being of the people.
The government is committed to public service, transparent governance and a development-oriented agenda, and has undertaken several welfare measures within a short period.
According to a statement issued, He made these comments while interacting with public delegations, party functionaries and workers from different areas at the party headquarters today. He said the government is working with sincerity and commitment to improve infrastructure, strengthen public services, create opportunities for youth, improve the health and education sectors and reduce the difficulties faced by the common people.
Showkat Mir said that some political parties, particularly elements associated with the BJP, have resorted to baseless allegations and negative propaganda in response to the public support and performance of the National Conference government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said the people are well aware of the reality behind such tactics. He described the campaign being carried out by the opposition as political theatrics aimed at diverting public attention from genuine issues.
He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah recently exposed the BJP’s double standards on the floor of the Assembly and apprised the public of how the BJP was using the LG’s office to create obstacles in the functioning of the elected government.
He said some BJP leaders were also perturbed because the National Conference government was advocating and striving for the protection of the rights, identity, dignity and interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He made it clear that the National Conference has always upheld the aspirations of the people and would continue to do so.(KNS)
