DC budgam leads the Rally with Enthusiasm
Senior District officers , school students, employees and locals of budgam participated in the event
Budgam, Nov 26 (KNS) : District Budgam witnessed a vibrant and energetic “Run for Rights” rally organised as part of the Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) celebrations.
The event was aimed at deepening public awareness about the fundamental rights and duties guaranteed to every citizen of the country.
The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner(DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat (IAS) from the New Parking Area Budgam. With the national spirit running high, participant ranging from students to senior officers of District administration, students and locals proceeded towards the DC Office Budgam, transforming the route into a corridor of enthusiasm and civic consciousness.
Flags, banners, and slogans added colour to the march as participants showcased their dedication to the ideals of the Constitution.
Earlier in the morning, the District Administration Budgam, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner budgam joined the online Preamble reading ceremony led by the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
This collective reading set a solemn and inspiring tone for the day’s events, reaffirming the district’s commitment to uphold constitutional principles.
Immediately after the virtual event, the “Run for Rights” rally was ceremoniously flagged off.

The rally drew massive participation, with hundreds of school students, Government employees, representatives from police, health , ICDS,and enthusiastic local residents joining the run.
The presence of senior district officers added a strong administrative support to the event. Officers who participated included the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, CEO Education, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, District Information Officer, DYSSO, District Social Welfare Officer, CEO Municipal Council Budgam, along with all Executive Officers from various blocks, departmental representatives, and frontline employees.
Throughout the rally, participants carried messages promoting justice, equality, liberty, fraternity, and responsible citizenship, making the event not only a physical activity but also a powerful awareness campaign. The route echoed with motivational calls encouraging youths to safeguard the constitutional fabric of the nation and to remain informed and active contributors to the democratic framework.
The District Administration Budgam ensured seamless coordination and support, reflecting a strong civic commitment across the district. The overwhelming response to the “Run for Rights” rally highlighted the dedication of the people of Budgam toward nurturing constitutional values and fostering a society rooted in harmony, responsibility, and democratic ethos.(KNS)
