Srinagar, August 6, (KNS): As part of the Civic Action Programme, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday flagged off a group of 84 students from Srinagar for a five-day Bharat Darshan tour. The group, accompanied by five caretakers, was flagged off by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy - IPS, during a ceremony held at District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar.
Senior police officers including SP South, SP Headquarters, DySP Headquarters, and DySP DAR were also present at the event.
According to KNS, SSP Srinagar said the tour aims to give students a chance to experience the rich culture and diversity of India.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe encouraged them to explore, learn, and gain new perspectives during the journey. “This tour will broaden your horizons,” he told the students.
The tour, fully sponsored by the J&K Police, covers air travel, accommodation, meals, and other arrangements. Students were also provided with travel kits, track suits, and shoes.
During their visit to Mumbai and Delhi, the students will explore various historical and cultural sites.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by the students and their families, who thanked J&K Police for giving them a valuable educational opportunity.(KNS)
