Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNS): A well attended public delegation of Mangith and other adjoining areas of Banihal constituency led by Vikar Rasool Wani MLA Banihal meet with Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai at Srinagar and apprised him of their problems.
MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool Wani highlighted the local issues of the public of the area including road connectivity from bawa to Mangith, extension of Banihal Mangith road from Hergam Mangith to PHC Mangith, Water supply scheme for the area, for speedy development of the area particularly in respect of road connectivity, keeping in view the huge tourism potential of the areas.
The deputation consisted of representatives from the adjoining areas of Mangith also demand higher secondary school for Mangith being most backward area of the district Ramban.
They apprised the Advisor that the rural development department has a liability and the non-issuance of payment to them has made their life difficult which includes the pending installment of IAY.
A delegation sought the construction of protection bund in their vicinity to prevent damage due to any natural calamity, particularly heavy rains.
They also demanded filling of vacant posts of teacher's and masters in high school Mangith department.
After listening the issues, Advisor to Governor Khursheed Ahmed Ganai has assured that their issues will be redressed in phase wise manner and directions will be given to concerned authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest. (KNS)
