Bandipora, July 29 (KNS): The main market of Bandipora district has become a glaring example of administrative negligence, where a faulty drainage system and a severe lack of public washroom facilities have made life difficult for both shopkeepers and residents.
Local shopkeeper Shamshad Bhat, while speaking to the media, said that the drainage system in the market has completely failed, resulting in streets and alleys getting flooded even after light rainfall. He further stated that the absence of public washrooms is not only causing inconvenience to shoppers but is also creating serious difficulties for the shopkeepers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shamshad Bhat appealed to the district administration to take immediate notice of the market’s deteriorating condition so that both the general public and the business community can be spared further hardship.
Public circles have also expressed deep concern over this serious issue, warning that if immediate measures are not taken, it could lead to a major public health crisis.
The administration is urged to take concrete steps to improve the condition of Bandipora’s main market so that citizens can be provided with essential basic facilities. (KNS)
