Bandipora, Aug 16 (KNS): A bridge constructed by locals in Lawdara Bandipora was damaged in recent cloudbursts, leaving many families unable to reach their rice fields on the other side.

Locals told KNS that they had earlier requested the district administration for a proper bridge but, due to negligence, were forced to build it on their own by pooling money.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey said the collapse has once again added to their suffering and urged MLA Bandipora and the administration to take immediate action.

When contacted, MLA Bandipora Nizam Uddin Bhat assured KNS that every possible help will be provided at the earliest and said he will personally visit the damaged site soon.(KNS)
