Srinagar, Jan 08 (KNS): J&K unit of Bharatiya Janata Party today welcomed the meeting of 8- member delegation of former MLAs with Lt Governor J&K Girish Chandra Murmu.

State Organizer BJP J&K Ashok Kaul told KNS that his party welcomes the development.
“It is a good move. We have always been in favour of starting political activities,” he said.
On being asked that National Conference calls leaders who were part of delegation which met Lt Governor as self-styled leaders with no mandate from people, he said, “NC has felt heat; they feel they don’t exist anywhere. They feel someone else is filling their space. Let them shout, who cares. Now Kashmiris neither support NC nor PDP.”
He also added that he is sure that people of Kashmir will support the members of the delegation who talk about development, connectivity, and infrastructure.
Regarding the demand of the delegation that statehood should be restored to J&K, he said, BJP supports the demand of statehood, but situation should return normal here.”
He also said that BJP also believes that a system should be put in place like Uthrakhand, Himachal Pradesh or Pondicherry to secure jobs for local youth except specialized jobs where people across India should be eligible apply. (KNS)
