BJP can never establish base in Kashmir, says Apni Party chief

Srinagar, Nov 7 (KNS): Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Friday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can never establish its base in Kashmir.

“BJP will take 100 births, their existence will never come in Kashmir. But it is a lion, isn’t it? If they don’t scare us with a lion, then with whom will they scare us?” he said while speaking to media persons, as per KNS.

Bukhari said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah should not complain about being targeted, adding that public criticism comes with being in power and is linked to government performance and unfulfilled promises. “If he had fulfilled the promises made to people, we would not have been standing here today,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said that this is not a personal conflict, and criticism of government programmes and policies will continue until promises are met. Referring to the National Conference, Bukhari said that when the party wins, all its leaders share the victory, and when it loses, all are accountable.

He urged the government to allot the Ompora industrial estate to benefit people in Budgam and raised concerns about youth and elderly detainees in jails outside Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the Apni Party would launch a campaign for general amnesty as outlined in its manifesto.(KNS).
