BHSS Ashpora organizes drug De-addiction programme

Srinagar, Jun 26 (KNS): A drug de-addiction programme was held at Government Higher Secondary School Ashpora Qaziabad on Wednesday in which students, teachers and other people participated.

Students and teachers of the school presented speech about the drug menace.

“Parents, teachers and other members of society have to play a pivotal role in eradicating these widely spreading menaces, which are consuming younger generations directly and indirectly,” he said.

Incharge Principal BHSS Ashpora Iqbal Rasool presented a comprehensive speech about the drug addiction menace in the valley. He highlighted the drug addiction scenario in the society and its preventive measures.

Physis lecturer Jan Mohammad, computer science lecture Mohd Ashraf, Lecture Zoology Mohd Rafiq, Chemistry lecturer Tariq Ahmd, lecture math Mohd Shafi, incharge principal and Lecturer political Science Mohd Shafi highlighted the prevalence of drug abusers and stressed the students especially the adolescents regarding the hazardous of substance abuse on both physical and mental health of the youth.

Besides, students, civil society members, representatives and other prominent sections of the society also attended the programme. (KNS)
