BDO Devsar Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct

Srinagar, Aug 8 (KNS): The Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir has suspended Block Development Officer (BDO) Devsar, Arif Ayaz Dar, for alleged violations of financial and administrative procedures under MGNREGA guidelines.

According to the suspension order, Dar, who also held additional charge of Block Kund, is accused of signing blank work authorities in contravention of established norms, potentially leading to financial irregularities and loss to the public exchequer.

The Directorate stated that such actions compromise transparency, accountability, and responsible governance, and are in serious breach of government conduct rules.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Following his suspension with immediate effect, Dar has been attached to the office of the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kulgam. The charge of Block Devsar and Block Kund has been assigned to BDO Behibagh and BDO D.H. Pora, respectively.

The ACD Kulgam has been directed to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report within 10 days.(KNS)
