Srinagar, August 5 (KNS): Chief Spokesperson BJP Minority Morcha J&K & Chairman Block Devlopment Council Tral today hailed the decision Lt Governor G C Murmu for sanctioning a special Block Devlopment fund (BDF) of Rs 25 lacs to each Chairperson of the Council.
" I pay my sincere gratitude to his Excellency the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmoo ji for an appreciable decision of Empowering Block Devlopment Councils of Jammu and Kashmir and sanctioning a special Block Devlopment fund (BDF) of Rs 25 lacs to each Chairperson of the Council. It is an appreciable move for the empowerment of Grass root democracy in the UT and will ensure speedy Devlopment of rural areas," he said in a statement to KNS.
Singh said LG GC Murmoo had made a firm committment to him during his visit to Pulwama and a detailed presentation related to the issues of BDCs in J&K UT was given to LG.
BJP leader said funds would be spent judiciously and uniformly in his block for the upliftment of poor and down trodden.
