Authorities release 2 NC leaders, slap PSA on Nayeem Akther

 Srinagar, Feb 08 (KNS):   Authorities on Saturday released two more National Conference leaders Mubark Gul and Tanvir Sadiq  from MLA Hostel Srinagar after keeping in detention for  six months and booked Peoples Democratic Party leader and Former Education Minister Nayeed Akther under Public Safety Act (PSA). 

 
Reports reaching to KNS said that the duo was released from the MLA Hostel today morning and were put under detention; National Conference (NC) Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar confirmed their release and said they were put under house arrest.
 
Meanwhile PDP leader has also confirmed the PSA of Aktar and said he has been shifted to M5 quarter in Gupkar.
 
These leaders were arrested along with dozens other  political  leaders on August 5 last year when the center abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the erstwhile state into the two union territories.
 
Many other leaders were released in phase wise while as authorities also booked two former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti under Public Safety Act (PSA) few days back (KNS).
