Kulgam, July 11 (KNS): Residents of Astan Mohalla in Laisoo area of Kulgam have urged the district administration to resolve the ongoing problem of rainwater logging that has disrupted daily life in the locality.
Locals said that after every rainfall, water collects in both residential areas and on the main road leading to the district headquarters. The problem has worsened, with water even entering homes, making it especially difficult for school-going children and the elderly.

People have demanded a proper drainage system to prevent further inconvenience and protect their homes from damage.
Responding to the issue, SDM Noorabad Bashir Ullah Hassan said, “We have already sent a team to assess the area, and the problem will be resolved in the coming days.”
Residents hope the administration will act quickly to bring lasting relief.(KNS)
