‘Airing rumor of attack on Yatra, malicious attempt to defame Kashmiris’

Srinagar, Aug 03 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference Senior Vice-President Muzzaffar Shah expressed great shock over the back to back orders from government in recent days which has caused great inconvenience and threat to people of Kashmir. He said the intentions behind such orders vindicates that people at helm are using every attempt to damage the constitution of the country.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Muzzafar Shah, senior vice-president of Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference in a presser expressed concern and great shock over the repeated government orders which had gone viral on social media from several days. “The back to back orders from government in recent days have caused great inconvenience and threat to the people of Kashmir”.

He said, “intentions behind such orders vindicates that people at helm are using every attempt to damage the constitution of the country and leaving people of state into shock and uncertainty”.

He added, “there is no need to go with begging bowl to the door of Governor as we all know the special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been granted by the constitution of country, instead of Governor.

ANC Vice-President said, it is a matter of concern that on one side from Prime Minister Narender Modi to Governor Satya Pal Malik are assuring people of state that no annulment of Article-35A and 370 is on the cards but on the other side thousands of troops are being called from centre in the name of law and order and for the defamation of Kashmiris hospitality, rumor is being aired that Amarnath Yatris would be targeted which is a deliberate and well thought out design to give bad name to Kashmiris.

Shah while talking to media personnel said, Governor is assuring people of state that no untoward will happen and appealing people to remain calm but within no time, back to back orders related to law and order exposed the status of Governor. He added, Governor should introspect what he is saying and what is being executing on ground.

“People of the state have suffered immensely since 1931 and if any anti-people decision will come to fore, brave hearted Kashmiris will fight it the same way as it fought in history against brutal Mughals, Sikhs and Afghan rulers.” (KNS)
